A Message from the Heritage Days Committee . . .
The Irwin Heritage Days Committee would like to welcome you to the 2nd Annual Irwin Heritage Days celebration that will be held August, 2010!
We will have a wonderful collection of juried crafters, great food, and fantastic live entertainment right in Irwin Park. There will also be fun and interesting activities throughout downtown Irwin. It is going to be a terrific celebration of the wonderful place we all call home!
Our hope is the Irwin Heritage Days will become an extension of a great local tradition, the Norwin Community Picnic (held the first Wednesday of every August, at Idlewild Park, by the Norwin Chamber of Commerce). The Community Picnic has created a time of year when local residents gather together and many former residents return home to see family, friends and classmates. We would like to see this time extend into the first weekend of every August through a new local tradition, the Irwin Heritage Days.
The Heritage Days committee has been working since August, 2009 planning this coming year’s celebration. We want to thank all the members of the Heritage Days Committee for their commitment and time to make this event one of the premiere events in Westmoreland County. We are sure you will find many exciting things to do during the celebration. We hope that your time with us will be filled with many happy memories.
